Russian Indoor Championships, Day 2

Svetlana Shkolina was the first winner of Day 2 at the 2011 Russian Indoor Championships in Moscow. She cleared 1.94 in the women’s high jump.
Viktoriya Klyugina placed second with 1.91m. Both, Mariya Kuchina and Yelena Slesarenko, cleared 1.87m and shared the third place.
European bronze medalist Anna Avdeyeva won the women’s shot put achieving 18.81m (World second). Anna Omarova placed second (17.79) and Irina Tarasova was third (17.60).
Olesya Krasnomovets won the women’s 400m clocking a World lead of 51.22sec. Kseniya Zadorina finished second with 51.38. Kseniya Vdovina was third – 51.81. European indoor champion Antonina Krivoshapka didn’t start in the final.
Yuliya Rusanova won the women’s 800m clocking 1:58.11 (World lead). Yevgeniya Zinorova finished second with 1:58.83. Yelena Arzhakova was third - 1:59.35. She beat a Russian U23 best of 1:59.71 set by Mariya Shapayeva in 2008.
Darya Klishina won the women’s long jump with 6.74m. She beat Anna Nazarova by 1cm – 6.73. Yuliya Pidluzhnaya placed third - 6.69.
Sergey Mudrov surprisingly won the men’s high jump. Sergey Klyugin’s pupil was the only one who managed to clear 2.30m. European champion Aleksandr Shustov placed second with 2.27 and beat by attempts Olympic champion Andrey Silnov.
Maksim Sidorov improved his season best to 20.70m (European second). Ivan Yushkov was second – 20.46m. Valeriy Kokoyev placed third with 20.19m.
Yekaterina Voronenkova won the women’s 200m clocking 23.37seconds. Yelizaveta Savlinis finished second with 23.49, and Aleksandra Fedoriva was third - 23.54.
Roman Smirnov won the men’s 200m with a Russian season led of 20.91sec. Valentin Morozov finished second with 21.35. Anton Olefir finished third clocking 21.37.
Igor Spasovkhodskiy won the men’s triple jump achieving 16.85m. Russian season leader Lyukman Adams placed second with 16.80m. Taras Moiseyenko was third – 16.75m.
