Darya KLISHINA
I was ready to be first. The most important thing to win this competition was to stay healthy during the preparation. I think I have no concurrence indoors and I can show great jumps also in summer. I like outdoor competitions even more because you can be supported by wind. This gols is very important to me and I was focusing on good result during the competition, not to be stressed by the other jumpers. I am very satisfied and happy now.

Yuliya PIDLUZHNAYA
I am not satisfied with this medal becasue I wanted to win just like the others. The jumps were good and I must be satisfied with the result. The rivals were stronger. The most important thing is the Olympics in 2012 and all the competitions untill that are important preparation and steps forward.

Yevgeniya Zinurova won the women’s 800m clocking 2:00.19. Yuliya Rusanova finished third in 2:00.80 after Jenny Meadows (GBR) in 2:00.50.

Yevgeniya ZINUROVA
Everything in the race was just like we planned it. My coach told me before the final that I am the best and that I can win. When I was standing on the starting line and heard the bell, I remembered that and speeded up. I had enough energy to go even faster but the plan was to save energy for the last lap and I followed our plan. I am happy my coach was right.

Yuliya RUSANOVA
It was a difficult race. I expected it easier even if I knew that Jennifer will run very fast from the start. I was nervous and there was too much responsibility on my shoulders. I tried to catch Jennifer before the finish but did not have enough power. Now I am looking forward to a good sleep and relax.

Russian women’s relay team won the 6th medal for the national team. The fourth of Kseniya Zadorina, Kseniya Vdovina, Yelena Migunova and Olesya Krasnomovets was unbeatable in the women’s 4x400m with 3:29.34 to defend their champion titles. Great Britain & NI team finished second in 3:31.36, and France team was third - 3:32.16.

Olesya Krasnomovets
Definitelly, it was not a boring competition. We were quite self confident, however everything can happen. We were trying to avoid mistakes - not to lose the batton. The main aim was to make a gap between the other teams in the first leg. I hoped that everything would work well and I felt like I was running all the time instead of each girl. I was shouting at them and tried to support them.

Kseniya Zadorina
The purpose was to get the first lane in the first 200 meters. Then we created the gap and everything went quite smoothly. I was 100 percent confident that we can win if we do not lose the batton or when nothing special happens. This relay was very difficult for the girls who were running the individual 400 m already. We were tired from the three rounds there. But psychically it was very difficult for the two girls who did not run yet [Vdovina, Migunova] because they were very nervous and very thrilled coming to the start. The crowd was amazing here.
