11.03.2011

2-time Olympic champion, 27-time World record holder in the women’s pole vault Yelena Isinbayeva has returned to her first coach Yevgeniy Trofimov. Yelena said that to RusAthletics.

“I told to Vitaliy Petrov who coached me in recent years before I decide to change my coach. We had a good conversation and parted amiably. I thanked Vitaliy Petrov for all he did for me, his care, patience and professionalism.”

“I met my first coach Yevgeniy Trofimov last Sunday and said I want to return to him. We told in detail for a long time and decided to continue our work. I realized I feel better when I spend most of my time in Russia. I want to train in my home town of Volgograd, be with my family and friends. And I will come to Monte Carlo of course. I’m happy that Yevgeniy Trofimov agreed to work whit me again. We planned our work and took two trainings. Our main goal is the 2012 Olympic Games in London and the 2013World Championships in Moscow”, said Yelena.
