Yulamanova to get gold medal
The 2010 European marathon champion Zivile Balciunaite (LIT) has been banned for 2 years, so Nailya Yulamanova, who was second in Barcelona, will get the gold medal.
Balciunaite’s doping test was positive after the European Championships, and as Lithuanian Athletic Federation president Eimantas Skrabulis said, she has to return her gold medal of the European Championships. The ban ends 6 September 2012, so Zivile can compete at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Anna Incerti (ITA) will get the silver medal, and Tatyana Filonyuk (UKR) will get the bronze one.
