Bydgoszcz to host 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships

The 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships will be staged in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz, the sport’s global governing body the International Association of Athletics Federations announced on Wednesday.
The decision to award the 40th edition of these championships to Bydgoszcz, which also hosted the event in 2010, was unanimously supported by the IAAF Council, and followed a meeting in Monaco on 3 May when the IAAF met with representatives of the Polish Athletics Federation, the city of Bydgoszcz, and the 2010 Local Organising Committee.
The 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships will take place on Sunday 24 March 2013.
