Kulichenko: Moscow is not going to be easier for us than Budapest

10.03.2006

"I do not share the common view that Russian team has an advantage as we are competing at home", - said the head coach of the Russian athletics team Valeri Kulichenko.
"The Moscow Championships is going to be as difficult as previous World Indoor Championships in Birmingham and Budapest. I can see many new serious opponents here. On the other hand, it is the first time that we managed to gather all best athletes for the winter Championships, no one is sitting out. All our champions are here, except for those who compete in summer only disciplines, such as discus and hammer throwings. I believe it is for the first time that athletes have such a magnificent indoor arena and a separate comfortable practice one", he added.

Obviously, the press attention in focused on Yelena Isimbayeva. She has changed a lot since she has been coached by to Vitali Petrov. She is very decided in her opinions now and expresses them freely»
