Arzhakova wins 800m in Ostrava

Yelena Arzhakova won the women’s 800m at the European U23 Championships in Ostrava. She set PB of 1:59.41 and was the only one who clocked a sub-2 minute time.
Yelena said, “I´m very satisfied not only with the victory, but also with the time. I have a very busy program in Ostrava. I want to win another race, 1500 m. I wanted to control the race the whole time, I ran the whole time on the first position and controlled the other runners behind me. Hundred meters before the finish I saw in the TV screen, that the others have no power to beat me.”
