Tamgho and Wlodarczyk voted European Athletes of the Month for June

European Athletics is pleased to announce that world indoor triple jump champion Teddy Tamgho of France and hammer world champion Anita Wlodarczyk of Poland have been voted as the European Athletes of the Month for June.
Tamgho leapt to a French national record of 17.98m at the Diamond League meeting in New York and in the process became the third best performer ever, behind world record holder Jonathan Edwards (18.29m) of Great Britain and Kenny Harrison (18.09m) of the USA.
The 21-year-old also had two jumps of 17.60m and 17.63m at Montreuil-sous-Bois and finished third at the SPAR European Team Championships in Bergen.
Wlodarczyk set a hammer world record of 78.30m at the ENEA Cup European Athletics Outdoor Premium Meeting in Bydgoszcz, Poland, improving on her own previous record of 77.96m registered at the IAAF World Championships in Berlin last year.
